Today shows just how fast storms can flair up here in Southwest Florida. Heavy rain, lightning, winds and thunder.

Everyone is gearing up for tropical storm Irene which is far from the US but should be here either Wednesday or Thursday.

Gotta’ get my water, and batteries maybe something to cook on. I think the part that I hate the most about getting ready for strong weather is putting up my shutters. Takes a hugh amount of time and it feels like your living in a cave. But we will see in a few days if I need to do that.

My brother-in-law Paul and his son Matt came down here to sunny Florida. They stayed for 4days. Luckily the weather stayed warm and we were able to go jet skiing at Fort Myers Beach.

If they would have been here last week they would have been met with rain every day.

A good time was had my all!!!
