At it again!!!

Well, seems that I have developed another sore on the bottom of my foot. AGAIN!!!

Actually it has been there for a few weeks. I thought that I could heal it myself but I had to make an appointment with my foot doctor guy. He cleaned it and cut away all the dead skin.

He sort of indicated that I may be getting it too wet by going into the pool so I can’t go in the pool. It is way into the 90’s everyday so that is a bummer for me.

So, that’s that with that...

It is so frustrating....

Every day you get up, get your coffee, sit down and maybe read the paper. There are never any “feel good” stories to read anymore. It is filled with crime and stories about who was shot, stabbed and where this happened. There are stories of our soldiers in Afghanistan, losing their lives over what exactly?

Don’t get me wrong, I am all in favor of sending our troops to war when there is justification for it but usually there is a goal in mind. You know, “I’m going to war against this country so I can claim this land as mine” type of goals. But it seems like the war is something that we just do with no end game in mine. I mean we need to get something out of this war. Something that the entire country can benefit from this. Oil? Money?

It just seems like it is, “ok, go to war... fight for a while now come back” leaving thousands dead and twice that many wounded and having their lives changed forever. I am sure there must be a much larger picture here that none of us regular folk can’t see or can’t be told but something really needs to be done and allowing our government the freedom to do whatever they want and then blame the last guy that was there.

Obama blames Bush for all the trouble this country is in now. The war, the debt, everything. Our country is in debt because that is what our country wants. Too much spending by the Bush administration. You got to remember that it is the Democrats that had control of the house and allowed for all that spending.

It’s a tough situation. A frustrating situation, but life goes on and will always go on no matter what happens to us.

July 5th, 2011

Yesterday, Independence Day, was one of those lazy days. Sat around, went into the pool for a few hours. It wasn’t all that sunny. Later in the day it started to rain. Later on around 7:00pm, took a ride to the Cape Coral Bridge where they were having fireworks at about 9:30.

Sunday we went to Cape Harbor for the July 4th patriotic dog contest. There were about 30 entries, some simple, some bizarre. It started to rain and probably the rest of the day’s events were most likely canceled.

If it wasn’t so hot, I am sure we would have stayed. But the heat, for me anyway, was hot. It was crowded and lots of stuff to do. I just wish the humidity was a little lower. Next year, if we go, we will be better prepared. Chairs, water etc.....

That’s it..... all caught up!
